Inspection checklist for this model

Use this checklist when evaluating a specific Oyster C60. It is general buyer guidance, not a claim that this model has a particular defect.

• Hull, deck and structure: inspect moisture intrusion, deck fittings, chainplates, bulkheads and previous repairs with a qualified marine surveyor.
• Keel and rudder: confirm the actual keel configuration, groundings history, steering play and bearing condition.
• Rig and sails: request standing-rigging replacement records, inspect terminals and spars, and assess sail condition.
• Engine and systems: verify engine hours against service logs, arrange a mechanical inspection, and test charging, plumbing and navigation systems.
• Sea trial: assess steering, handling, sail trim, vibration and operating temperatures under representative conditions.
• Ownership costs: budget for haulout, insurance, storage, deferred maintenance and any major refit.

Buyers should obtain an independent survey and consult qualified professionals. Published model specifications are not a substitute for a boat-specific inspection.
